Kezieke holds inter-sector futsal tourney

Team Alespo and Team Suddenly were crowned champions in the men’s and women’s categories respectively at the One-Day Inter-Sector Futsal Tournament organized by Kezieke Colony on October 20 at the Perielie Solo Memorial Turf, Kezieke.
In the men’s category, Team Alespo clinched the title, while Team Defenders finished as runners-up. In the women’s category, Team Suddenly secured the championship title, with T Special emerging as runners-up.
Individual accolades were also presented to outstanding players for their performance throughout the tournament. In the men’s category, Aruve of Team Defenders bagged the Highest Goal Scorer title, while Ahun Zeliang of Zero FC was named Best Goalkeeper. In the women’s category, Kekhriesinuo of Team Suddenly won the Highest Goal Scorer title, and Limpanshi of T Special was adjudged Best Goalkeeper.
The event featured an inaugural programme chaired by Kezieke Youth Organisation (KYO) president Lhoulaneituo Pienyü, with the invocation pronounced by Vonuo. A special number was presented by the Destitute Home, while Kevingutuo Solo administered the oath-taking for all participants.
Former chairman of Kezieke Welfare Board, Medozeu Rio, graced the tournament as the special guest and officially inaugurated the event. In his address, Rio commended the KYO for organizing the tournament and encouraged the players to continue promoting sportsmanship, unity, and community spirit through such positive engagements.
The one-day tournament concluded on a high note, bringing together residents of Kezieke Colony in a vibrant display of teamwork, camaraderie, and youthful enthusiasm.
