Advisor for Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD) and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo, on Thursday inspected the ongoing construction of the Deputy Commissioner’s office complexes and Administrative Officers’ quarters in Tseminyu and Wokha districts.
During his visit to Tseminyu, Khamo stressed the need to expedite construction for early completion, stating that timely delivery of key infrastructure is essential for effective governance, especially in newly established districts like Tseminyu.
He acknowledged chief minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio’s support in allocating funds for the projects and appreciated the supervision efforts of CAWD officials led by Assistant Chief Engineer Sungtiba Amer. Khamo urged contractors to maintain the current pace and stick to project timelines, emphasizing that proper infrastructure is crucial for smooth administration and public service.
The inspection in Tseminyu was joined by DC Japhet Woch, the contractor, and other district officials.
At Wokha, Khamo reviewed the progress of the new DC Office Complex and expressed satisfaction over the swift land acquisition and preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR). He reiterated the importance of timely execution and cautioned contractors against any delay.
He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, the state government is committed to delivering quality infrastructure to strengthen governance. “Contractors must not display a lackadaisical attitude when it comes to public projects,” he said.
Assistant Chief Engineer Sungtiba Amer also instructed contractors at both sites to accelerate work and stock materials in advance to avoid delays during the rainy season.
