Advisor of CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo on Monday launched the Small Enterprise Development Program (SEDP) at EDA office, Regal Demo Complex, Phoolbari, Kohima. Speaking at the programme, Khamo said entrepreneurship was new concept to Nagas, as many of them were either employed or farmers and were not into entrepreneurship.
He, however asserted that entrepreneurship could be the way forward for a progressive society, as it propels all economic activities in the country. Khamo said that there was always a way for the people who want to take up entrepreneurship as it was unlimited and highlighted that the government job has become limited.
He also challenged the participants to be determined and develop self-confidence in their pursuit and take up entrepreneurship as a profession to progress at par with the rest of the others.
Resource person of the programme, Manish Jain, Chartered Accountant FRN, Guwahati, Assam in his presentation pointed out various kinds of enterprises while motivating them to dream big.
Jain also encouraged the participants to believe in themselves and dedicated to their thoughts and ideas.
Earlier, at the programme, short speeches were delivered by Vesupra Luruo, advisor, 18th Chozuba AC, Yota Khesoh, vice-president NDPP Phek Region where they also appreciated the initiatives taken by Khamo to empower the people from the constituency.
The launching program was led by Thepukrayi Nienu, general secretary NDPP, 18th Chozuba AC and vote of thanks by Vepozoyi Theyo, vice-president NDPP 18th Chozuba AC. A special song was presented by Entrepreneurs Development Agency (EDA) Boy’s, invocation by Mudonuyi Veswu, Chaplain, NDPP 18th Chozuba AC and benediction by Vetacho Nienu, Deacon, CCRC PWD Kohima.
