
Parliamentary Secretary for Information Public Relations (IPR) Khekaho Assumi was optimistic of receiving “sufficient fund” from the Centre for IPR department and assured that “payment for all ongoing works in the department would be made without any deduction from various elements”.
Inspecting the ongoing construction of DPRO Mokokchung office which is Rs. 1.35 crore project, Wednesday, Khekaho in an interaction with DPRO, staff and contractor assured completion of the building at the earliest and development of IPR department.
The parliamentary secretary also assured to accord “top priority” to all construction works of the department in the State. He said any hindrance in any developmental works must be brought to his knowledge so that departmental activities could be carried out smoothly.
Khekaho also expressed satisfaction at the ongoing construction of the office and encouraged the contractor to “work and be paid” for the work well done. He assured that the remaining 20 % fund for the completion of the building would be accorded at the earliest.
The parliamentary secretary also asked the staff to prepare a DPR for an IPR guest house to be constructed at the upper floor of the building. Interacting with DPRO and the staffs, the parliamentary secretary asked the staff to feel proud for working in department which provides vital information to the public.
