Khekaho assures welfare for scribes

Parliamentary secretary, Information and Public Relation (IPR), Khekaho Assumi Saturday assured a delegation of journalists of taking up various measures for the welfare of the media fraternity in the state.
According to DIPR report, parliamentary secretary made the assurance during an interaction with Dimapur based journalists at hotel Theja Fort, Dimapur.
When media persons apprised of the press accreditation, Khekaho assured that he would take up the matter and for which a meeting has been convened scheduled to be held in the first week of February next.
Issues regarding allotment of Dimpaur Press Club office and tour programme for journalists were also discussed. For the upcoming tour programme, the parliamentary secretary urged the journalists to get ready with their passports.
Khekaho also requested media persons to highlight the policies and programmes of the government to make common people more conscious on implementation of various schemes and their benefits.
He also assured media persons of extending his help and cooperation in every possible way. DPRO Dimapur, Lolano P. Khuvung also attended the meeting.
DIPR report also claimed that this was the first ever meeting between the members of Dimapur Press Club and parliamentary secretary IPR.
