Khriehu inaugurates P Khel traditional market complex

Parliamentary secretary Youth Resources and Sports, State Lotteries and MTF chairman DPDB, Khriehu Liezietsu inaugurated Pfuchatsumia (P) Khel traditional complex at Ziekezou Kohima village, Saturday.
Speaking as the guest of honor, Khriehu lauded and congratulated the wisdom and cooperation of good leadership of P Khel on completion of the market complex. He expressed optimism that the building would benefit the younger generation and asked to maintain peace, harmony and unity.
Khriehu apprised that under his initiative, repairing of road through Kohima village has started since November last year and assured to repair all the roads in the village in the future.
He appealed the people of the village to maintain cleanliness in and around their surroundings, to avoid washing of cars by the roadside and also to avoid dumping of building materials alongside the road.
Encouraging students to appear for civil and competitive exams, Khriehu informed he has been sponsoring 50% coaching fees of those interested students at ETEN coaching center.  In this regard,he urged interested students to seize the opportunity.
Stating that sports has big opportunity to earn livelihood, Khriehu asked to explore other sector as there are less avenue in government sector. He also stressed on the need to promote and preserve unique traditional folk songs, folk lore and traditional sports and games of Nagas.
Khriehu sought for support and cooperation from the people of the village, so as to work hand in hand for the development of the village and its people.
Delivering a brief background on the construction of the market complex, convener building committee, Vilie-o Rutsa, said that construction of the market complex started on April 9, 2014.
He thanked his colleagues, Khel members and those individuals who had rendered financial, material and physical support.
The gathering was enthralled through a special song by Pfuchazhünuo. Invocation was pronounced by ex-chairman P Khel council, Meguo Mechülho while vote of thanks was delivered by vice chairman P Khel council, Meselhoulie Rame.
