‘GPRN/NSCN’ has condemned the killing of ‘GPRN/NSCN’ under secretary Vetoshe Sumi and his nephew Ghunato Sumi, a school student, by the rival NSCN (I-M).
‘GPRN/NSCN’ publicity cell in a press release said conforming to “their wicked plan of sabotaging the Unity of the Nagas,” the NSCN (I-M) murdered the duo in “cold blood” on Monday
“Never in their history have the Nagas confronted such merciless band of murderers. If their arrogance and merciless streak has any limit, Nagas alone must decide and act lest thousands of innocent Nagas are murdered simply because they followed what they believed in,” the release said.
Condoling the death of Vetoshe and Ghunato, ‘GPRN/NSCN’ also wished speedy recovery to ‘Lt’ Avikhe Sumi of Yehemi village who was seriously injured by the rival faction on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Dimapur Police said they recovered two bullet-riddled bodies near Signal Angami junction, late Sunday night at around 10.40 p.m.
According to police, the deceased identified as one Vitoshe Sumi, an under secretary in the NSCN (K) and Hunato Sumi, a civilian, were reportedly picked up by the rival NSCN from Bor Lingri and later shot to death at Signal Angami. Police said both the deceased who were blind folded with hands and legs tied, bore two bullet wounds each on the head.
