Sumi Kukami (GBs) Hoho (SKH) and Eastern Sumi GBs Association (ESGA) have condemned the abduction and subsequent killings of Avito Sumi of Khewoto village, Zunheboto district, and Aloto Sangtam of Sitimi village, Kiphire district. SKH president Kakihe H Yeptho and general secretary Tokugha Sumi in a press release said both Avito and Aloto were abducted by unidentified gunmen on July 9 in Kohima at around 7.30 p.m and later shot dead some 15 kms away from Kohima town. The hoho demanded from the cadres or group responsible on what ground the duo were killed. SKH also urged the State government and Angami Public Organization (APO) to investigate into the killings and initiate steps to book the culprits. In a separate press release, ESGA president Vikheho Yeptho also appealed the State government to book and punish the culprits at the earliest.
