Kiphire bids adieu to outgoing Deputy Commissioner

Outgoing Deputy Commissioner Kiphire, Mohammed Ali Shihab, was given a warm farewell with a program held at the DC’s Conference Hall Kiphire on Saturday. The farewell program was attended by HoDs, tribal leaders and NGOs.
Shihab, in his farewell speech, thanked officers and NGOs of Kiphire district for their cooperation and their suggestions throughout his stay as the DC of Kiphire. Recollecting good and bad times and how the district had overcome all of them in unity, Shihab laid special emphasis on the aspirational program (Kiphire is one among 117 ‘Aspirational Districts’ identified by NITI Aayog across India).
The DC requested key department officers to continue in the same spirit and sincerity and put in a little more effort and cooperate with the Aspirational District Nodal officer to transform the district for the better.
Shihab also requested district officers and various NGOs to extend the same cooperation they had extended him, to the incoming Deputy Commissioner.
The outgoing DC also thanked the Superintendent of Police Kiphire, Commandant AR Kiphire, and 14 IRB for their unrelenting support during the Sitimi incident.
Two elections (one general and one MP election), besides a Special Cabinet Meeting, were conducted in Kiphire district during the stay of the outgoing DC.
The farewell program was chaired by SDO(C) Hq., Longdiba L. Sangtam. Short speeches were delivered by ADC Kiphire Hq., Reny Wilfred, DPO Kiphire, Pudusul Luho, and USLP vice president, K. Tsilise Sangtam.
A folk song was presented by Dobashis of DC office Kiphire, and a vote of thanks was delivered by EAC Kiphire, Chenithung Ovung. Earlier, an invocation prayer was offered by EAC Longmatra, Sangpangchang Longkumer.
