Kiphire Fire Service holds demonstration on fire safety

In commemoration of Fire Service Week 2025, Kiphire Fire Service conducted live demonstration on fire safety at Deluxe Point on April 17. OC Tsarose Sangtam emphasized importance of mass awareness on fire safety, particularly focusing on kitchen and electrical fires and urged public to install fire safety equipment in their homes, offices, and shops.


Tsarose also highlighted on a survey conducted in 2022 which revealed lack of fire safety installations in government offices, hospitals, schools, churches, commercial places, and private residences in Kiphire Town.


He mentioned the upcoming implementation of Nagaland Fire & Emergency Service Act, and urged public to prioritize fire safety to create healthy and fire-safe environment.


The live demonstrations showcased fire handling techniques, and training sessions educated attendees on using fire extinguishers, aiming to sensitize the community about fire safety measures.
