Kishan Lama, Arati Karki crowned Mr & Miss Gorkha Nagaland

Kishan Lama from Dimapur and Arati Karki from Peren district were crowned Mr and Miss Gorkha Nagaland 2025 at the third edition of the pageant, held at Town Hall, Dimapur, on December 14. The event was organised with the motto, “To promote, preserve the culture and uplift the talent of one’s community.”
The programme was organised by B Bros Entertainment and was graced by BJP Nagaland state treasurer Kamal Jain as the chief guest. A total of 22 finalists representing various districts across the state competed for the coveted titles.
In the male category, Som Kumal secured the first runner-up position, while Rahul Bagdas was adjudged the second runner-up. In the female category, Easter Sonar from Dimapur was declared the first runner-up, and Bipana Thapa from Kohima secured the second runner-up title.
Several sub-contest titles were also presented during the event. Kishan Lama won Best in Talent (Male), Best Discipline (Male) and Mr Popular, while Rani Chetri was awarded Best in Talent (Female). Arati Karki received the Best Discipline (Female) title. Anish BK and Priya Sonar were adjudged Mr Photogenic and Miss Photogenic respectively. Rahul Bagdas won Mr Congeniality, while Easter Sonar received the Miss Congeniality title. The Mr Encouragement Award went to Karan Bishwakarma and the Miss Encouragement Award to Roshni Limbu. Sarah Chetri K was awarded Miss Multimedia. Tushar Thapa and Poonam Sonar won Best Walk in the male and female categories respectively, while Samikcha Giri was adjudged Miss Popular.
The judging panel comprised noted personalities from the fashion and modelling industry, including fashion designer Jwala Raj Pokharel from Nepal, actor Boss Meren, Rose Longchar, Miss Assam Winner 2024, Shakshi Bishwakarma, and model Raj Rai.
The evening was further enlivened by musical performances by Suraj Gautam and energetic dance performances by Castle Dance Academy. The event was hosted by Homnath Dhungyal from Sikkim, while the show was choreographed by international model Sanjay BK. The contestants were groomed by Lovi Awomi, Femina Miss India Nagaland.
