A fire broke out early Saturday morning at Borlengri Manipur Basti, partially damaging a one-storey building with S.I. roofing. One family was affected, though no casualties or injuries were reported.
According to fire officials from Dimapur, the incident was reported at 7:44 a.m. and originated in the kitchen while meat was being dried. Two fire tenders each from Central and West Fire Stations, Dimapur, were dispatched and took around 40 minutes to douse the flames. A fire tender from Assam also assisted in the operation.
