KLB receives vehicle support from MP Phangnon Konyak

A significant meeting of the Konyak Literature Board (KLB) was held on April 6 at the private residence of Rajya Sabha MP, S. Phangnon Konyak, in Mon.
According to press and media secretary of KU, Kaibo Konyak, the gathering, chaired by KLB chairman S. Manlip Konyak, expressed gratitude to the MP for her generous contribution of vehicle to the Board. He assured that the KLB would continue to strengthen its efforts in promoting and preserving the Konyak language.
The vehicle support was extended under MP LAD 2025–26 through the department of Education, Nagaland. In her address, Phangnon Konyak lauded the Board for its tireless work in uplifting the linguistic and cultural identity of the Konyak community. She encouraged the members to pursue their mission with greater zeal and strive for excellence at higher levels.
Emphasizing the role of the younger generation in sustaining the language, the MP suggested innovative initiatives such as establishing a vernacular academy to nurture the Konyak language among youth.
The programme concluded with a dedication prayer by Rev. E. Yeangphong Konyak, District Chaplain, Mon, followed by the ceremonial handing over of the vehicle key to the chairman of KLB.
