KLBC celebrates Family Day of Prayer

DIMAPUR

Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church celebrated Family Day of Prayer on August 17, in a spirit of remembrance and thanksgiving for God’s continued grace and blessings upon families. The special service brought together members of the congregation in collective worship, reflection, and fellowship.
According to a press release, Rev. N. Silubo Zeliang emphasized the foundation of a Christian home is Christ-centredness, and that families must be built upon biblical principles that reflect God’s love. He stated that recognizing Christ as the ultimate authority in the household is key to a spiritually strong and unified family life.
Pastor Zeliang also highlighted the roles of husbands and wives in raising children who honour God, stressing the importance of nurturing spiritual growth within the family unit. He urged families to prioritize love, service, and open communication, describing the Christian home as a place of refuge, healing, and spiritual renewal.
The programme was presided over by Rutmakbo, and the Youth Department uplifted the congregation with a meaningful song, contributing to the spiritual tone of the service.
The Family Day of Prayer concluded with a time of fellowship over refreshments contributed by Dr. Amankhai and her brothers.
