KLK holds career guidance for Lazami youths

Kulolau Lazami Küqhakulu (KLK), Dimapur, organised its first-ever Career Guidance and Counselling Programme exclusively for Lazami youths at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur, on April 11. The programme was sponsored by Yevihe Swunetho of Chekiye Block-5.
Distinguished speakers included Viqheshe S. Futhena, BDO RD Department; Lutovi Phucho, Assistant Drugs Controller, Dimapur Zone; Himato Kappo, Territory Manager, HarperCollins Publishers Pvt. Ltd.; and entrepreneur Lovi Achumi, Proprietor of Tsuipu Food Products.
Lutovi Phucho highlighted the scope of higher studies and diverse academic streams. Viqheshe Futhena emphasised consistency and discipline in achieving success, sharing practical tips for competitive exam preparation and encouraging youths to persevere despite challenges, while stressing the importance of prayer and faith.
Advisor to KLK and SDAO Pughoboto, Kitoho Michael Swu, spoke on socio-economic changes and urged youths to actively engage in farming. He described agriculture as a viable, technology-driven profession offering self-employment and food security. He encouraged organic farming, value addition, online marketing, and adoption of Integrated Farming Systems (IFS) for sustainable livelihoods.
Himato Kappo elaborated on emerging opportunities in the corporate sector, highlighting its role in economic growth, innovation, and employment generation. Entrepreneur Lovi Achumi inspired participants to explore business ventures and embrace self-reliance.
With around 50 participants, the programme was marked by active engagement and meaningful interactions throughout the sessions.
