KLSU observes fresher’s day

Kohima Lotha Student’s Union (KLSU) celebrated its 45th fresher’s day at Molu Ki, Paramedical Colony, Kohima under the theme “Empowering new generation”. 

The event was graced by Renphamo Kikon, joint director of Agriculture as the special guest and Er. Lichon Patton, sub-divisional officer (SDO) of PHE as the guest of honour on August 31. 
A press release from KLSU stated that, Renphamo Kikon in his address encouraged students to make use of their own talent, explore avenues and opportunities available on various platforms. He urged the students to check the social menace and maintain a cordial relationship with other communities to create an atmosphere of peace and harmony. He also gave a brief highlight on the importance of health, education and food.
Er. Lichon motivated the students through his own personal experience and encouraged the students to accept challenges having potential towards achieving success. He further urged the students to be sincere and committed towards the journey of golden life.
Short speeches were also delivered by Libemo Tsopoe, president Lotha Student’s Union, Kohima Lotha Hoho and Kohima Lotha Eloe Ekhung. 
Earlier, in the programme chaired by Lijanbeni Kikon witnessed a special appearance from Mhayani Kikon and Phyobemo Khuvung. Invocation was offered by pastor KLBC Mhonchumo S Lotha and welcome song by Lotha students of Kohima College. 
The second session was hosted by Areni Tungoe and Longshithung N Ngullie wherein rounds for KLSU Mr. & Miss Fresher, 2019 was held. Meribemo & Wonjano were adjudged  as Mr and Miss Freshers 2019.
