Kma police nab four with IMFL

A team of Mobile Unit of DEF Kohima deployed at 10th Mile Junction, Zhadima, for surveillance duty intercepted one Mahindra Scorpio bearing Registration No. NL01C-4124 with Engine No. BF44A13240, and Chassis No. MA1TA4BFC42A61640 from Nerhema Village Junction on January 29 at around 3 AM.
Upon search of the intercepted Scorpio, the police team recovered 100 cases on IMFL comprising of 1032 bottles (86 cases) of MC Rum and 336 Can (14 cases) of Kingfisher Can Beer.
The occupants of the vehicle identified as Phuto Achumi (21), son of Shihuto of Tokiye village under Aghunato Police Station and prestnly residing at 2 ½ Mile, Dimapur; and Mughaka Chopy (24), son of Hekshe of Lotisa village under Akuloto Police Station and presently residing at Eralibil, Dimapur, were accordingly arrested.
On thorough interrogation of the two arrested persons, it was revealed that the consignment was being transported to Tseminyu from Dimapur.
The Police Surveillance Team also intercepted a Maruti Alto bearing Registration No. NL-01H-4992 with Engine No. 3333092 and Chassis No. MA3EYD81S0078007 which was escorting the Scorpio and arrested two occupants of the vehicle. They were identified as Viksha Assumi (28), son of Satovi of Achukshu village in Suruhoto and presently residing at 2 ½ Mile, Dimapur, and Pikato Awomi (21), son of Aka of Aghunato and presently residing at 2 ½ Mile, Dimapur.
Accordingly, a regular case vide Chiephobozou PS Case No. 0004/2015 U/S 44 NLTP Act was registered against the arrested persons.
