Kohima police manning Phesama check gate during routine checking and frisking of vehicles on September 29 intercepted one truck (AS01D-8597) and recovered 120 kilos of contraband ganja
According to a press statement by sub-divisional police officer (South) & PRO, Kohima, Atu Zumvü, during a preliminary inquiry, the driver stated that the contraband was loaded form an isolated place at Senapati, Manipur and was to be transported to 7th Mile Dimapur.
PRO informed that two persons identified as Rokho Mao (28) son of Adani Mao, from Puni Pfosemei, Senapati, Manipur and Ashuzhuo Mao son of Bese Mao from Puni Pfosemei, Senapati, Manipur were taken into custody for possession and transportation of the contraband and a regular case under NDPS Act was registered against them.
