KMC announces revisedrates of non-vegetarian foods

DIMAPUR: The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has revised the rates non-vegetarian foods of within its municipal jurisdiction with immediate effect. The revised rates will remain in force until further notice.
In a notification, KMC informed all poultry shopkeepers to prominently display the approved rate chart and trade licence at their establishments.
The council also made it mandatory for vendors to use digital weighing machines and wear aprons while conducting business.
KMC further directed shopkeepers to maintain proper hygiene standards at their premises. It warned that any violation of the prescribed guidelines would invite strict action from the council.
The revised poultry rates have been notified and are effective immediately across the Kohima Municipal Council jurisdiction.
