Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Kohima Municipal Council (KMC), T Lanusenla Longkumer, has issued an order on the opening of shops on Sunday.
In a press release KMC CEO informed that in supersession of all previous orders, and in the interest of public service, special permit to open shops would be issued to three shops per colony, on recommendation of respective elected ward councilors.
The release however added that bakeries, hotel chains, restaurants, meat/fish/fowl shops, would continue as usual, while all shops within the Naga Hospital compound shall be exempted and be allowed to remain open on all Sundays on special grounds.
