KMHTU, STD condemn alleged molestation

Khiamniungan Menyiu Hoikam Tuensang Unit (KMHTU) and Sangtamlarü Thsingmüjang Dimapur (STD) have condemned the alleged molestation of two minors by former DC Noklak, Reny Wilfred.

In a condemnation note, KMHTU president K Shaan and general secretary P Liamoi said that “perpetrators of such heinous crimes cannot be tolerated in a civilized society.” 

KMHTU appealed the law enforcing authority to investigate the case without delay and deliver justice to the victims.

“Law is equal for all, irrespective of differences in socio-economic and political aspects”, it stated.

Meanwhile, Sangtamlarü Thsingmüjang Dimapur also urged the law enforcement authorities to give justice at the earliest to the two minors.

In a condemnation note, Sangtamlarü Thsingmüjang Dimapur president, Athrongla Sangtam and general secretary Lipila Sangtam demanded that the accused be put under immediate suspension and arrest.

It also demand state protection for the two minor girls.
