Kewhimiapfü Mechü Krotho (KMK) has strongly condemned the recent busting of a sex racket in Kohima by police authorities on September 6, expressing deep anguish over the emergence of such activities in the state capital.
In a press release, KMK described the revelation as “shocking and greatly disturbing,” stating that such an abhorrent underworld, once considered alien to Naga culture, now threatens the moral fabric of society. The organisation warned that unless such elements are thoroughly rooted out, they pose an impending danger to the future of Nagaland.
Alarmed by the rise in antisocial activities, KMK urged law enforcement agencies to award the severest punishments to the perpetrators, stressing the need to protect children and youth from falling prey to such nefarious networks.
The organisation also lauded the Police Department for its continued efforts in combating criminal elements and called upon all sections of society to extend support and work collectively to restore dignity and safety in the land.
