Kohima College bids farewell HoD education

Farewell programme for associate professor & head of department (Education), Ameü Kire, was organised on March 31 at Kohima College.  In her farewell speech, Ameü Kire, thanked God for His blessings and shared fond memories of the college including struggles faced during the early years. She urged teachers to be sincere towards the teaching profession, which was one of the most rewarding and fulfilling professions.
The programme was chaired by HoD (English) Moanungla Kevichusa, while invocation prayer was pronounced by assistant professor, Vezholu. A special song was presented by the entire faculty fraternity.
Principal Dr. Watijungshi, Keneilesa, associate professor & KCTA president, Dr. Khing, associate professor and other staff delivered speeches during the programme.
It may be mentioned that the retiring faculty, Professor Ameü Kire was given the meritorious award in recognition of her contribution towards quality higher education by the department of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland, in 2012.
