Kohima District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) meeting was held on May 28 at DC’s conference hall, Kohima under the chairmanship of ADC, Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi.
After the review of the last meeting minutes, the meeting deliberated on the district level Incident Response System (IRS) structure, which has been set up as per the guideline by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), stated a DIPR report. District informatics officer, Kohima, G. Lorin gave a detailed briefing on the Indian Disaster Resource Network (IDRN). Discussions were also held on the DDMA cell where the ADC informed that the cell was operational at the DC’s office, Kohima since last month.
Nodal officer for SDMA, Kohima district, Theja appraised the house on CFR trainings and also trainings for the Village Level District Management Cell and Village District Management Core Committee (VDMCC). Deliberations were also held on mock drills to be carried out in the districts and for briefing of officers concerned for the proposed mock drills.
