Kohima District Football Association conducts district football team trials

The Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) on Sunday conducted selection trials for the district football team in preparation for the upcoming 24th Dr. T Ao Trophy 2025 Inter-District Football Championship.
The trials took place at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, from 9 AM to 12 PM. According to the organisers, more than 50 registered KDFA players took part in the process, out of which 33 players were shortlisted for further training.
KDFA officials informed that the selected players will undergo coaching camps in the coming days, after which the final squad to represent Kohima district will be announced.
The selection committee was headed by senior vice president of KDFA and an AFC ‘B’ License holder, who served as the convenor, Roko Angami. KDFA technical director and an AFC ‘C’ License holder, Zakietuolie Khrodi, acted as secretary of the committee.
The trials began with a prayer led by KDFA vice president Khriengulie Rio.
