Kohima District Legal Service Authority informs

The Kohima District Legal Service Authority (KDLSA) has informed that it will participate in the ‘Mahila Jan Sunwai’ (Public hearings) under the initiative of the National Commission for Women (NCW) on March 9 at 9:30 am Tseminyu (DC Office Complex) and on March 13, at 10:30 am, DC Office Complex, Kohima.
The Kohima DLSA further informed that it will be extending necessary legal assistance and support services which includes: providing free legal advice on the spot by Panel Lawyers, assistance in drafting application/complaints, information regarding Free Legal aid, welfare schemes and victim compensation schemes, to provide counselling and mediation, distribution of IEC materials (pamphlets/ brochures)
‘Jan Sunwai’ is to hear and address grievances related to women’s rights, domestic violence, family related-disputes and maintenance, Sexual harassment at workplace, property disputes, Cybercrime including cyberstalking and online harassment and other matters concerning the protection and welfare of women.
