
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie convened a meeting with district officers from various departments at the conference hall of the DC, Kohima on August 2, to discuss work distribution and other logistic arrangements with regard to the celebration of Independence Day at New Secretariat Plaza, Kohima on August 15.
According to a DIPR report, while reviewing the state level meeting minutes on the distribution of works, the meeting discussed various assigned works to be taken care at district level where concerned departments gave confirmation on the work assigned to them.
Arrangement of participants for cultural troupes and football exhibition match and others in various segments of the programme were also confirmed by the concerned departmental officers during the meeting.
The DC also asked district officers to take it seriously as government servants and to be responsible in respective line of duties in order to celebrate the Independence Day in a befitting manner.
He also informed that visitation of institutions/homes for charitable work would not be carried out this year.
