Kohima Forest Division and CRPF conduct reforestation drive

The Kohima Forest Division, in collaboration with the 78th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Zubza, concluded a week-long reforestation program at Forest Department-owned land in Zhadima on May 30. The initiative was conducted under the supervision of 78 Bn CRPF, Commandant, Devnath Somkunwar and Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Kohima, Dr. Sevono Seletsu.
Held as part of the World Environment Day campaign, the program aimed to promote environmental sustainability and enhance awareness about the importance of reforestation efforts.
During the closing ceremony, Dr. Seletsu emphasized the vital role of tree plantation and collective community action in conserving the environment. She called upon all stakeholders to sustain and expand afforestation efforts to build a greener and more resilient future.
