Kohima Law College (KLC) conducted moot court on July 17 with three several moot problems involving both criminal and civil case and constitutional issues for the LLB final year students.
In a press release, KLC informed that teacher-in-charge of B.C.I practical/clinical education assistant professor Kezhokhoto Savi said the purpose of organising and conducting moot court was to help the law students to become a successful lawyer.
He said through the mood court students would get an opportunity to learn the good knowledge of legal language, good knowledge of speaking, good knowledge of appearance before the court and good knowledge of common sense and behaviour.
Savi said the lawyer requires three essential pillars i.e., integrity, hardworking and honesty to be successful and trusted counsel in modern society.
Earlier, the students visited several lawyers’ chamber and court both High Court and District Courts where they were required to learn the court proceedings.
