DIMAPUR: Kohima Group NCC achieved remarkable success at the North Eastern Region (NER) NCC Award Ceremony, securing multiple prestigious awards across various categories. The awards were conferred by Meghalaya Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Wailadmiki Shylla and ADG NCC (NER), Maj Gen Anurag Vij.
Key achievements included SUO Nuvekholu Dozo (1 NL Air Sqn) receiving the Fg Offr Simon Kachari Memorial Award; SUO Khumcholi Anar (24 Nagaland Bn) named best SD Cadet (Nagaland); JUO Suyimnaro awarded best SW Cadet (Nagaland); S/O Hitovi Sumi recognized as best male ANO (Nagaland); and T/O Mongshai Shiu T as best female ANO (Nagaland).
St. Xavier HSS, Jalukie, was adjudged Overall Best School (Nagaland), while Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung, received the Overall Best College award. The 1 NL Air Sqn was declared Best Air Squadron in NER, with the award received by Wg Cdr M. Herojit Singh and JWO Ram Babu Roy.
Group Commander Brigadier Shantanu P. Mainkar congratulated all awardees for their outstanding achievements, commending their dedication, discipline, and commitment to excellence. He encouraged cadets and staff to continue striving for higher standards and contribute towards nation-building.
