DIMAPUR: Kohima police has appealed to the public for assistance in identifying a dead body recovered from a downstream area within Khuzama Village on September 7.
According to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Kohima, Khuzama Police Station received information regarding the recovery of an unidentified body. Acting on the report, a police team proceeded to the location and recovered the body. All necessary legal formalities, including identification efforts among members of the public, were duly observed. However, despite efforts, the identity of the deceased could not be established. The body has since been shifted to the morgue for preservation and identification.
The deceased is believed to be a male aged around 40-45 years, with an approximate height of 5 feet to 5 feet 2 inches. Articles recovered include two finger rings and a necklace chain.
In view of the above, Kohima police has appealed to the general public to assist in identifying the deceased.
