
Kohima police on June 14 arrested one person from Dimapur airport while trying to flee after stealing cash and personal documents from a residence of a doctor in Kohima.
In a press release, Kohima police PRO informed that after receiving a complaint by a doctor about the theft, the personnel of North Police Station, Kohima swung into action and arrested the accused within an hour of receiving the complaint. Police has identified the accused as Akhlas (22) son of Ajiul Rahman, a resident of Kasaba Dhantala, West Bengal, who was working as a Lab technician in a clinic run by the victim. PRO said the accused was about to board a flight from Dimapur to Kolkata when he was arrested and during investigation a cash amounting to Rs 2,71,700 and stolen documents were recovered from the accused.
