Kohima police arrestone in vehicle theft cases

DIMAPUR, JUN 27 (NPN)

Kohima police have arrested one person on charges of stealing vehicles from various locations in Kohima town.
According to Kohima police PRO, the accused identified as one Biose Jingru (25) of Trongar village under Tuensang district was apprehended on from Tinpatti area in Kohima on June 24, 2025.
PRO said Kohima police launched a focused operation to identify and apprehend those involved in vehicle theft following multiple complaints of missing vehicles.
PRO informed that police teams were able to zero in on a prime suspect after obtaining vital leads through extensive analysis of CCTV footage from different parts of the town, and with the support of local community members.
PRO said the accused was currently in police custody and a regular case has been registered for further investigation. Preliminary interrogation has revealed that the stolen vehicles were disposed of in Senapati district, Manipur. Based on the information, PRO said police have already recovered one stolen motorcycle, and efforts were actively underway to recover more.
Kohima police affirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the citizens.
It, therefore, urged the public to continue supporting law enforcement efforts by reporting suspicious activities promptly.
