Kohima police issue traffic advisory for rally

Kohima police Wednesday issued a set of traffic regulations to be enforced on April 9, 2025 from 8am onwards in view of the public rally called by the Angami Public Organisation (APO) against the India-Myanmar border fencing at Old MLA Hostel Junction.

According to Kohima police PRO, down-going vehicles (towards High School/Secretariat) would be diverted via TCP Gate-Hospital Jn.-Census Point while up-coming vehicles (towards PHQ) would be diverted via Razhü Point-Naga Bazaar.

PRO also informed that staff buses (going to Secretariat/Directorate) would be diverted via TCP Gate–T-Khel Model Road. Further, police have declared road stretch from TCP Gate to Y-Junction Phoolbari as “No-Parking Zone.”

Police informed that the traffic regulation would remain in effect until the completion of the rally. Kohima police have, therefore, advised citizens to plan their routes accordingly and sought their cooperation and support.
