Kohima Police manning inter-state check gate at Khuzama intercepted one Manipur bound Tata mobile bearing registration number MN-01K-5730 during routine checking and recovered 178 bottles of banned Ensedyl cough syrup from the possession of the driver on August 29 at around 11:30 a.m.
The sub–divisional police officer & PRO, Kohima informed that the driver identified as Wonchipen Rungsung (35), son of Ningkhalem, Somdal village, Ukhrul district, Manipur was taken into police custody for possession and transportation of the banned drugs.
In this connection, a regular cases vide Khuzama police station case No. 0010/2017 U/S 13 DC Act has been registered against the arrested accused person for conducting further investigation.
