Kohima Police recovers 29 mobile phones

DIMAPUR: Kohima Police has recovered 29 lost and stolen mobile phones in the last one and a half months as part of its sustained efforts to trace and return property to rightful owners.
According to PRO of Kohima Police, out of the recovered phones, 17 handsets worth around Rs. 3 lakh were handed over to their owners at South Police Station on Thursday. With this, Kohima Police has successfully recovered and returned a total of 36 mobile phones in recent months.
The recoveries were made possible through persistent technical tracking, field verification and coordinated investigative efforts by police personnel. Kohima Police urged citizens to promptly report cases of lost or stolen phones to the nearest police station to facilitate timely tracing and recovery.
Efforts are ongoing to trace the remaining reported handsets, with police actively pursuing all available leads. Kohima police appreciate the public cooperation, and reiterated its commitment to safeguarding property and ensuring responsive public service.
