Kohima security meeting held

A meeting on the security situation in Kohima Town was held under the aegis of Maj Gen MS Jaswal, YSM, SM, IGAR (North) on  November 17 for the forthcoming Hornbill festival.
The meeting was attended by Mr Rovilatuo Mor, IAS, DC Kohima, GBs and chairman of villages in Kohima, president of important NGOs and other important Youth Organisations along with other administrations heads.
In the meeting  Maj Gen MS Jaswal, YSM, SM stressed on the importance of Assam Rifles and civilian organizations joining hands to keep the environment peaceful for conduct of the festival.  In the meeting DC Kohima and Civil administration stressed upon village authorities to extend their support to SF/Police by sharing information of any such activity which will hamper the security situation during the festive season. The civil administration was also requested to inform SF about any faction group moving in and around the town, especially NSCN (K). The meeting was platform for civilians from various walks of life to come together and share their feelings.
