The 9th edition of the Kohima District Shooting Competition 2026 is scheduled to be held on May 2 at Kire Farm (Chiin-Ca), under the aegis of the Kohima District Shooting Association and conducted by the Kohima District Rifle Association.
The competition will feature events including 10m Air Rifle (men and women, junior and senior), 10m Pistol (men and women, junior and senior), 50m .22 Rifle Open Sight (open), and 40m (.177 calibre) Bench Rest (open).
The entry fee for the 10m Air Rifle and 10m Pistol categories has been fixed at Rs 500, while participants in the 50m .22 Rifle Open Sight category will be charged Rs 1,000. The entry fee for the 40m (.177 calibre) Bench Rest category is Rs 2,000.
Entry forms will be available both online and offline. Offline forms can be collected from Sports World, Kohima Town; Pfonuo Shop, DBS Junction, Kohima Village; and Kitsu Pan Shop, D. Khel, Kohima.
The last date for submission of completed forms along with the entry fee is April 30 before 4 pm. In the 10m events, participants will compete in two categories—junior (15 years and below) and senior (above 15 years).
Shooters selected from the competition will represent the Kohima district team at the upcoming State Inter-District Shooting Championship scheduled to be held in June 2026 at Aries Sports Complex, Dimapur.
