As a stretch of NH-29 remains completely blocked for all types of vehicles due to heavy mudslide near the KMC dumping site, the Kohima traffic police issued traffic advisory restricting all vehicular traffic along that stretch of road till the restoration works were completed.
Kohima police PRO has advised all light vehicles proceeding towards Dimapur from Kohima and vice-versa to take the route via Jotsoma. Police said heavy vehicles would be restricted to ply till further notice.
According to police, the restoration works were in progress, but it was likely to take some time. It may be recalled that the Dimapur-Kohima road (NH-29 at Old KMC dumping site) was completely washed away on October 9 morning.
