In view of the Hornbill Festival and festive season, DC Kohima Rovilatuo Mor has put in place new traffic regulation for smooth flow of vehicular traffic. According to DIPR, random parking of vehicles in the main town and narrow peripheral circular road has been prohibited from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The regulations would be imposed along– Paramedical–Kisama and TCP point-IG Stadium; Hospital-Tinpati-DBS-New Sectt-GHS Jn; Bayavu Circular road; Kenuozou-Mission Compound-Razhu point; Razhu point-Seikhazou-DBS Jn; Mohonkhola-AG-Chandmari-Mezhur road; Chandmari-PWD Jn-/Porterlane Circular road; PHQ Jn-Science College/Paramedical-NH-2; Old Ministers Hill-New Ministers Hill-NH-2 via South PS; Mohonkhola & BOC- New/Old Ministers Hill junction; LFHSS-Police Reserve and Classic Jn-TCP point via Ladies Mile road, the circulation stated. DC has also directed vehicle owners to immediately remove off-road vehicles parked on roadsides. Public have been advised to take peripheral diversion roads in order to avoid traffic jams on the main road.
