Kohima traffic rules on R-Day

In view of the 72nd Republic Day Celebration at Secretariat Plaza, Kohima on January 26, 2021, the Kohima police have ordered enforcement of traffic regulations as part of the security arrangement. In a press release, Kohima police PRO stated that only vehicles with car pass ‘A’ (red) and Car Pass ‘B’ (blue) would be allowed entry to the Secretariat Plaza. 

Vehicles with car pass ‘C’ (green) would drop their respective officers at the Main Gate and would be parked outside the secretariat complex. 
Police informed that vehicles without car passes would not be allowed to enter the secretariat complex and would be parked along the assembly secretariat road. 
No vehicles including two wheelers would not be allowed to park by the roadside on January 26, 2021 from 6am onwards along the following routes till the programme was over: (a). From Raj Bhavan – TCP Gate – Razhu Point – High School – New Secretariat Complex. (b). New CM official Residence, Phezoucha to New Secretariat Complex. 
Further, heavy vehicles would not be allowed to ply in Kohima town till the programme was over. All loading and unloading of goods in Kohima town should be completed by 7am. 
Police cautioned that defaulting vehicles would be towed away and the charges would be borne by the vehicle owners.
