Konyak Students’ Union to conduct ‘ILP drive’ from June 15

Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) has informed that the union will conduct Inner Line Permit (ILP) drive within Mon district from June 15.
In a circular, KSU action chairman O. Tingkem and action secretary Shahching Jessuh said this was initiated, owing to “immense influx of illegal immigrants” in Mon district and due to “rampant issuance of ILP without proper verification” by responsible authority.
The union stated that during the drive, immigrants should produce NRC, Aadhar and Inner Line Permit.
It also informed that defaulters would be dealt stringently deemed fit as per the law.
Further, Konyak Students’ Union urged upon the responsible authority to issue ILP with proper verification before issuing the permit.
