Kopele receives NCPEDP award

Kopele Tepa, founder and proprietor of Bumblebee Inclusive School, Kohima, received the NCPEDP-Mphasis Universal Design Award 2023 in the category of Working Professionals at award ceremony held in New Delhi on September 28.


The award is presented every year to those who have been doing exemplary work towards the cause of accessibility and thus ensuring a life of equality and dignity for people with disabilities. The awards were limited to work in India and in this edition over 140 nominations from all over India, a total of 14 recipients were selected.


The awards are given to three persons each under four categories: Category A: Persons with Disabilities; Category B: Working Professionals; Category C: Companies and organisations; NCPEDP-Mphasis Javed Abidi Public Policy Award; Jury Appreciation Award.


It may be noted that NCEPDP is a non-profit Voluntary organisation based in New Delhi. It works as an interface between Government, industry, International Agencies and Voluntary sector towards empowerment of persons with disabilities. Mphasis Limited is a leading information technology and consulting company in India.
