Threatens to launch ‘intensified and indefinite’ digital stir
All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has demanded that the state government bring out the committee report before June 20, 2021 with regard to its demand for probe into the fund utilization of Rs.3.71 crore at Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu (KPA) under AICTE-NEQIP scheme.
According to a letter addressed to the state chief secretary, ANCSU president Vimeyiekho Vitso and vice president Inato Y Chisho cautioned that failure to bring out the report within the stipulated period would compel the union to resort to ‘intensified & indefinite digital protest’.
All Nagaland College Students’ Union has alleged that the state government “wilfully neglecting” and not delivering justice to the student community was “no less than assassination of students’ rights.”
The union reminded that after its continued digital protest, an enquiry committee was set up on October 17, 2020 to probe into the fund utilization at KPA and bring out a report within three-month period.
However, ANCSU stated that the state government was silent on the enquiry committee’s report till date. The union stated that delay in bringing out the committee report only indicated the “inefficiency of the committee or the intention of the state government to rescue those involved in the matter.”
