KPC begins construction of new building

DIMAPUR

Kohima Press Club (KPC) on Monday held a brief prayer and thanksgiving service to mark the commencement of construction for its long-awaited building at the state government-allotted plot near the Capital Convention Centre.
The prayer of blessing was pronounced by Dr. Kevichalie Metha, pastor of Peraciezie Baptist Church, Kohima, who cited passages from Psalm 121 and 127. He expressed hope that the upcoming facility would serve as a space where the voices of the voiceless are heard and where journalists may find purpose and blessing in their work.
KPC president, Alice Yhoshü, acknowledged the support of the state government under chief minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio for recognizing the pressing need of the growing press fraternity in the state capital.
She also thanked the directorate of Information & Public Relations, NPWD (Housing), Zynorique Initiatives, LB Enterprise, and the KPC Building Committee for their contributions in facilitating the construction process.
The club also extended special appreciation to pastor Dr. Kevichalie Metha for invoking God’s blessings ahead of the building works.
