The minister also inaugurated Kyetsa, a village gate, and unveiled a monolith commemorating the occasion.
On the second day, the community observed “Rünie Rahzhe”, which is a practice observed during Rünie (paddy festival) where all abled-citizens of the village come together and carry firewood.
In this age-old practice, the men cut down trees and make loads of firewood for the women to carry back to the village. In order to keep this tradition alive, the community took part in the event wearing their traditional attires. Minister Kronu also inaugurated a multi-purpose hall at Kami Village on December 23.
