Cultural day under the theme, “know thy roots” was held on August 22 at KROS College Leirie with chairman KROS education Society Kevisiezolie Suohu as the speaker.
Suohu in his address spoke on the script, migration and principles of leading successful life of the ancestors. He mentioned that Naga ancestors had script in olden days which was recorded on skins of animals but unfortunately the dogs ate it up. Suohu also referred to other non-Nagas who had recorded on barks of trees or leaves which could be saved.
The programme showcased cultural competition of folk songs, fashion show of ancient and modern times. The programme was chaired by Kenielhouto Belho while lecturer in-charge of cultural committee Watila and David Khutso delivered the welcome address and invocation respectively. The students also put up a folk song titled, “people from the land of Angh”, vote of thanks was delivered by KCSC cultural secretary Zenle.
