The newly constructed building of Daklane Panchayat was inaugurated by minister of Women Resource Development and Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse, in Kohima, on Saturday. In her address, Kruse expressed happiness that the colony could come up with a strong and sturdy building that could cater to needs of the colony.
She acknowledged the leaders for showing their love for the colony by seeking government funds to construct the building. She highlighted that there were government funds under various schemes and projects that were meant to help the people.
However, she lamented that many officers in all the government departments were unwilling to disclose such funds to the people for reasons best known to them. She stated if there were funds available it should be utilised for the welfare of the people.
She also pointed out that people should also be aware of the such funds and come forward to seek for help.
Kruse highlighted that the various schemes under Women Resource Development like tailoring, knitting, beautician and Horticulture like farming of various fruits and cash crops which could benefit the people.
Earlier, the dedicatory prayer was pronounced by president, Apostolic Ministries, Rev Dr DL Sanchu.
The programme was chaired by general secretary, Daklane Panchayat, Vitshu Vizo while welcome address was delivered by chairman, Vibeilie Metha.
Constructing report was given by executive engineer, KSCDL, Imsunaro, a special number was presented by Acodi and Viwi while vote of thanks was proposed by Akhavi Tsuipu.
