Minister of Women Resource Development & Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse inaugurated the Sub-divisional Horticulture Department Office in Pughobto on September 27. A DIPR report informed that at the inauguration, Salhoutuonuo highlighted the government’s commitment, led by chief minister, to improve the lives of the people.
She highlighted the Horticulture Department’s dedication to providing farmers with the best possible resources and assistance to explore new avenues in agriculture. The minister assured that the department would diligently implement all developmental schemes and encouraged citizens to interact with department officials.
Dr. Sukhato A Sema, MLA in his brief speech, emphasized the potential of Pughobto sub-division to transform into a sustainable economy.
He urged the Horticulture department to bridge the gap and contribute to area’s transformation into a vibrant and thriving society. Short speeches were also delivered by Director of the Horticulture, Meyasashi, and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Pughoboto, Tiameren Chang, who expressed gratitude and highlighted the positive impact of the Sub-divisional Horticulture Office on the living standards of the local population. The program, chaired by secretary Horticulture, Akumla Chuba concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by DHO Zunheboto, Dr. Alongba Tzudir.
