Minister of Women Resource Development & Horticulture, Salhoutuonuo Kruse emphasised the importance of sincerity and dedication among the members of Western Angami Gazetted Officers Krotho (WAGOK) in their service to the people and particularly in policy formulation and implementation.

Addressing the WAGOK 3rd biennial conference at Shalom Bible Seminary, Sechü Zubza on Saturday, the minister expressed the hope that WAGOK being an intellectual group will bring positive change, development and betterment of the communities with their dedication and sincerity.

However, Kruse reminded them to be mindful of their action as it would have an impact on their children.
Delivering short speech, Western Angami Public Organisation (WAPO) president, Kepelhoutuo Chüsi said that WAGOK as an intellectual group should not become a liability to the society but should extend their service for the welfare of the people.

The officers were also advised them to be cautious and emulate the Christian values in dispensing their services. Lamenting the prevalence of corruption, Chüsi maintained that though people always blame the system, nobody dares to stand up.

Also speaking at the programme, Rovilatuo Mor, IAS (Retd.) stressed on the need to change people’s outlook towards government service not only as means of livelihood but to carry out their assignment with diligence. As government employee, he said the officers were for public services, and advised them to build a robust system, public relation and confidence wherever they were posted.

Other speakers of the programme included, Nibu Nagi, businessman and Dr. Zasekuolie Chüsi. Meanwhile, a new team of WAGOK for the tenure 2024-26 has been elected to be led by Rokovisa Chase as president and Dr. Vilie Medoze as general secretary.
